All June at CFS, we've been writing and talking about work/life balance both on the blog and in the podcast. So in this “CFS Talks Sales” roundtable, we share best practices for improving your (and your team's!) work/life balance.
In this episode of Let's Talk Sales, you'll hear from Rebecca Smith, Charles Bernard, Arianna Miskel, and me, Elizabeth Frederick.
Rebecca recently published an infographic with 5 Work-Life Balance Tips to Increase Productivity. In case you missed it, you can check it out here.
In the podcast, we talked about the importance of work/life balance and common challenges people face. We shared stories about how we've each improved our work/life balance, as well as examples from others. We also shared best practices and actionable advice you can use at any stage in your career.
Charles shared a story about when he learned about calendaring “recharge time.” Arianna shared some great stories from her own career and her family. Rebecca talked about the importance of exercise. And I recommended setting realistic expectations.
Also in this episode, Rebecca called out Charles for his Fitbit cheating. There's evidence!
Keys to Improving Your Work/Life Balance
- Arianna reminded us to focus on the big picture and don't feel guilty.
- Charles recommended creating divisions between areas of your life, such as an end-of-day process to close out your day.
- Rebecca talked about the time-blocking both personal and professional goals.
- I recommended modifying your workspace and habits to support your personal health goals.
